Befriending Service

Age Concern Shropshire Telford and Wrekin runs a number of befriending schemes around the county. All are free but contributions to assist Age Concern in its work are always welcome.

Neighbourhood Contact Scheme - parts of Telford. Contact the Telford office

Volunteer Visiting Scheme - Telford. Volunteers visit older people in their own homes, providing friendship and support. Visits take place at times to suit both volunteer and service user and can vary from once a week to once a month. Volunteers can take a person shopping, play a game of cards or just chat - whatever the older person wishes to do. For more details, contact Gill Cashmore at the Telford office.
