Morning call club - South Shropshire

The Morning Call Club originally recruited members throughout South Shropshire who, every morning, make a short phone call to another member and received a call themselves at a prearranged time. Should a club member fail to pick up the phone, the Age Concern co-ordinator was contacted who would then follow up to make sure all was well. 

The Club developed and recruited volunteers who did not receive a call but did ring one or more older people on a regular basis.

Sadly funding for the Morning Call Club has now finished. However members  and volunteers transfered to  our Telephone Buddy Service and have been able to continue to support each other.
